Other smaller alliances and parties won 8 seats, with only one newly elected MLA being an independent.

Bihar Election result 2019

The results of the Bihar Lok Sabha elections of 2019, the results of Bihar Lok Sabha elections were announced on 23 May. In Bihar, where the BJP has now joined hands with the JD (U) and sacrificed their winning seats, the party has won all the 17 seats it contested. Bihar Election result 2015

In April 2015, Janata Paribar Group (a group of six parties – Samajwadi Party, Janata Dal (United), Rashtriya Janata Dal, Janata Dal (Secular), Bharatiya Jatiya Lok Dal, and Samajwadi Janata Party) (State) announced their intention to elect Nitish Kumar as their chief ministerial candidate. The Janata family was joined by the Indian National Congress and the Nationalist Congress Party.

This election saw the highest voter turnout in the Bihar Assembly elections since 2000, with 56.8% voting. The RJD emerged as the single largest party with 81 seats, followed by the JD (U) with 70 seats and the BJP with 53 seats. In terms of vote share, the BJP came first with 24.4%, the RJD 18.4% and the JD (U) 16.8%, and the Congress with 6.7%.

Bihar Legislative Council election

In July 2015, the BJP-led NDA won 13 of the 24 seats in the Bihar Assembly elections (including 1 independent supported by the BJP). The JDU-RJD alliance won only 10 seats, with one seat won by independent candidates.

Results of the 2021 Bihar Panchayat Elections (PDF List)
